The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero was the primary Japanese carrier based long range fighter in World War II. It was used throughout the war and was the most produced Japanese plane in World War II.
Equipped with two 20mm cannons and two 7.7mm machine guns, it is a great improvement over the A5M Claude, its predecessor. However, its armament will become less adequate as the war progresses.
